Canon: Katamari Damacy
Character Type: Canon
Age: Human equivalent of late teens to early twenties. I headcanon their race to be very long-lived, simply because they're rulers of the entire damn cosmos, so he's probably actually hundreds of years old or something
Gender: Male
Species: He is a... whatever. Some kind of space-faring alien. His people never get a name in canon. However, in-game, he will be humanized!
Appearance:
Prince in his natural form and a Katamari. In his original state, he is only five centimeters (1.96850394 inches) tall!
This is his human form. He has green eyes and short green hair, the front of which has been spiked. He dresses in formal clothes. He is also only 1.524 meters (five feet) tall.

Personality:
- hard-working, responsible, reliable
- respectful to all and expects respect in return
- tries to keep his cool! wants to be friendly and approachable, the kind of Prince people turn to when something goes wrong because he wants to help, not just because it's his job, but because he really does care
- isn't in charge of anything so can't use royal We. doesn't use contractions to be Proper instead
- DAD I LOVE YOU BUT PLEESTOP
- more like his father than he'd like to admit (also likes the same styles his dad does oops)
- Does Not Want To Be His Father, tries to be everything he perceives his father isn't: someone who listens, is considerate, patient, takes care of own messes, thinks before leaping, keeps self in check, etc
- prone to hissy fits of fabulous magnitudes if he doesn't catch himself because like his father he is someone who can get carried away by his emotions (see: the King destroying the night sky because he got caught up in having fun/feeling naughty♥)
- fambly is Important. big bro instincts
- treats friends as family, because he hasn't had friends before so... everyone is a family member to him!
- however he is an only child and isn't used to playing with others or spending a lot of time with his peers, not even his cousins. as a result he stays in one of two modes, princely or katamari/curious. result = accidental distance between him and those around him?
- if he gets in an argument with someone he's probably not likely to react well. he hasn't have arguments with people! (arguing with his dad is out of the question) he will either explode or try to leave before he explodes, and approach again when he is calm
- extremely curious about human... everything
- likes new experiences and new things
- loves to learn
- takes things at face value/seriously/literally when first introduced to something
- organized! likes to keep notes
- katamari optimism. roll up everything good and bad and turn it into a wonderful star!
- not proud or arrogant, but confident
- more humble than people expect (secret self-esteem issues because loldad? also because of the standards he holds himself to/is held to by dad, see below)
- he subconsciously holds high standards for those around him, because he holds them for himself and a lot is expected of him from his father, too. this can lead to accidental snobbery ("well I know you're not a prince like me but you should still shouldn't be lazy!")
- dislikes laziness and people not cleaning up their own messes because of his dad (this may make him rage more than other things, because he is Allowed to be mad at them, not his dad)
- when he sees other people messing something up he will want to go in and fix it himself. he doesn't micromanage but he does want to FIX EVERYTHING if he thinks/knows he can do it better. you can thank his father for this
- when he gets into I'LL FIX IT modes he can get very pissy and huffy. will buckle down faster if it will help others, though
- he is very active and doesn't procrastinate or put things off. deals with problems head on
- expects serious repercussions/verbal beatdowns for failure. without the King around, may apply them to himself anyway. also expects everyone to be mad at him for failing. doesn't stay down for long, though. gotta get back up and roll the katamari again. he'll do it right next time!
Powers:
NOTE: This entire section is headcanon, as the powers of the royal members are never outright stated in the game itself.
Katamari - clumping is a property. star-making (needs to be learned from father?). tl;dr gravity 'magic'?
Antenna - selective telepathy. may or may not screw with surrounding tvs/radios/etc (explaining why the Prince rolling the katamari is on the TVs in the homes he goes to roll in).

The Prince is also fairly athletic, what with all of the jumping and running and strafing he does to move the katamari.

Instrument: An alto saxophone with a green body and gold pads. It also has engravings in a sweeping pattern of stars and moons. When he is in his original form, the saxophone becomes a standard golden color, though it also takes on a very cartoonish quality to it, almost as if it was cut out of paper.
